We took our spotlight and camera to a little pond close to our apartment. There are hundreds of Pacific Chorus Frogs there, croaking, fighting, and presumably mating. They're really taking advantage of all the warm nights we're having. We took a video that you will love if you like frogs! In the video, it looks like males make their croaking sound by inflating their entire abdomen and throat pouch, and then squeezing the air back and forth. It looks so cute and ridiculous to us, but of course, it is very serious business to those little rascals!

This very fun to watch. I have always loved that first sound of the froggy chorus. It always relays the message that spring is on its way. Thank you.
